While the dangers of fluoride are not universally understood or even accepted, it has been by and large abolished in continental Europe other than Ireland and the UK. Even in the UK fluoridation of public water supplies is limited to just a very few local authorities, the vast majority having abolished it because of worries about fluoride poisoning.
There is obviously a reason for this, although no review of the dangers of fluoride in drinking water would be proper without a discussion of both sides of the argument. This is presented below, although not all claims have properly reported references available since neither side have much scientific evidence to offer. (more…)

The symptoms of inflammation are a result of the natural response of your immune system to tissue damage or invasion of your tissues by pathogens such as bacteria and viruses. The initial result of the inflammatory response is often dilation of your capillaries to permit the large macrophages, or white blood cells, to reach the affected area resulting in fluid leakage into your surrounding tissues and ultimately swelling and pain.
The area can also become hot as your immune system raises the temperature to render it less comfortable for bacteria. The overall effect is the typical redness, swelling and pain that we know as inflammation. It slows down wound healing and can lead to severe pain in the joints (arthritis). The immune system frequently doesn’t know when to stop, and needs help so that wounds can heal and the pain and swelling gradually die down. (more…)

Conversely, when we inhale deeply, our lungs become filled with air and our chest gets expanded, and when we exhale deeply our lungs and chest are contracted. How and why this happens? For this, it is essential to know the structure of our lungs. (more…)

The man having low blood pressure is supposed to be in an inactive and peaceful condition. The death rate of low B.P. patients is less than that of hypertensive people. The patient suffering from low B.P is not at risk as compared to high B.P. The men in the age group between 60-70 years are found quite healthy having blood pressure 100/60 mm Hg or 90/55 mm Hg.
