THE FOOD LAWS
If you don’t know the basic food laws for good nutrition, you should learn them. Its noted that the proportions have to be a certain way in the body. Every day, we should eat servings of six vegetables, two fruits, one starch, and one good protein. When these proportions are adhered to, you will have achieved an 80 percent alkaline/20 percent acid diet. Your 20 percent acid comes from your acid starches, and proteins. Your 80 percent alkaline comes from your six vegetables and two fruits. (more…)
Hemidesmus Indicus (Anantmool) is a perennial climber found throughout India, and more commonly in the eastern and southern parts of India, up to an elevation of 900 m. The leaves and roots, with emetic, expectorant, and antidyscntric properties, are considered a substitute for ipecacuanha. The use of the plant was initially regional, confined only to areas where the plant grows. Later, interest in the plant grew through the work of Dr. Kotak and Dr. Shivpuri, who showed that consumption of just 3-6 leaves of Hemidesmus Indicus had prophylactic action lasting for several weeks, and the use of the plant became more widespread. Intervertebral discs are tough fibrous pads joining each of the spinal vertebrae i.e. back bones. Each inter-vertebral disc is composed of a tough outer layer of ligament, the annulus fibrosis and a soft gelatinous core.
